scoutssection sThe Scout section is for young people aged 10.5 to 14 years of age. At the 30th Reigate, we have two amazing Troops - one on a Wednesday night and the other on a Friday night. Both Troops operate the same programme and with a shared leadership team meeting together as often as possible each term for large scale activities.

We are one of the most successful Scout groups in the region running the two troops, both of which are mixed and have more than 50 Scouts. The Scouts take part in a huge variety of activities including: rifle shooting, archery, cycling, white water rafting, quad biking, sub aqua, high ropes, bungee running, rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, canoeing, power boating, rafting and skiing. The Troops also learn basic Scouting skills including: firelighting, first aid, knife, axe & saw, bivouacking, orienteering, pioneering, pyrography, knotting, map and compass.

We have a long history of success in local competitions and our scouts have gone on to win individual awards and commendations for their work both in scouting and outside. We are very proud of our scouts success including those who have earned places representing the United Kingdom at the last two World Jamborees.
