30th Reigate Scout Group

Scouts

The Scout section is for young people aged 10.5 to 14 years of age. At the 30th Reigate, there are two Troops - one on a Wednesday night and the other on a Friday night. Both Troops operate the same programme and meet together several times a term for large scale activities.

Each Troop is mixed and has approximately 50 Scouts in each. The Scouts take part in a huge variety of activities including: rifle shooting, archery, cycling, white water rafting, quad biking, sub aqua, high ropes, bungee running, rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, canoeing, power boating, rafting and skiing. The Troops also learn basic Scouting skills including: firelighting, first aid, knife, axe & saw, bivouacking, orienteering, pioneering, pyrography, knotting, map and compass.
